Poppy takes the guesswork out of biosafety investments.
A group of entertainment venues was evaluating where and when to invest in building upgrades as performers, staff, and guests expressed concerns about mold, food-borne illnesses, and COVID. Outbreaks of norovirus and later influenza A put added pressure on Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) resources. While the show must go on, the back of the house regularly had to bring in temporary staff to fill the gap, and the guest experience suffered.
Poppy’s System was set up in the kitchens, staff rooms, bars and lobbies. Within 24 hours, Management had their first view of potential transmission pathways, hotspots, and airborne virus clearance rates for each zone. Poppy’s system provides them daily insights into how building biosafety changes based on occupancy, staff health, even weather and seasons.
Based on Poppy’s system, management rapidly triaged areas where they could reduce costs and where upgrades should be scheduled. Staff shifts were adjusted if certain pathogens were detected. The organization used Poppy’s digital signage to display the real-time results of all their hard work and investments in staff and guest safety.
